Parking Guidance

At the heart of a Dupline Parking Guidance System is the Master Module which provides power and communication to a string of sensors. A string can consist of up to 120 sensors depending on the distance involved. Simply by adding more strings, we can provide a Parking Guidance System for virtually any size parking facility.

Each string will also have a Parking Monitor that accumulates the counts for the string and makes it available to display signs. Furthermore, the Parking Monitor can also communicate with other Parking Monitors in other strings allowing easy display of levels and garage totals.

All Master Modules have a built in RS485 interface (Modbus) which allows connection to our CarPark software for monitoring and statistical analysis.

Benefit :

With a Carlo Gavazzi Parking Guidance System, you have a partner with over 80 years experience in providing leading edge solutions to your automation applications. Carlo Gavazzi has offices around the world so you are assured of local support.

Our system is built on our robust Dupline bus system which has been used in over 150,000 applications world-wide to provide remote communicaton capabilities in tough industrial and mining applications. It brings long sensing distance and excellent noise immunity for worry free operation of the entire system.

Carlo Gavazzi Parking Guidance System is a completely stand alone system – no separate PC is required for its operation. A PC can be added if you would like to interface to our PGS Software for statistical control and analysis, booking of parking spaces, and remote monitoring. Furthermore, you can also add other monitoring functions to the same communication bus such as door status, energy monitoring, lighting, and ventilation to name but a few.

Carlo Gavazzi also provides a strong interfacing capability to its Parking Guidance System. We provide serial commuications to interface to payment and gate control systems as well as NTCIP interface capability to allow your parking data to be integrated into a larger traffic control program.

Counting System

The Master Zone Counter (MZC) keeps track of the available spaces in each zone and updates the displays accordingly. The entry and exit points of the zones are equipped with sensors, which are typically ultrasonic or loop detectors, but can also be photoelectric sensors.

For optimized accuracy, two sensors can be used at each detection point thereby allowing detection of the vehicle’s direction. In addition, there can be multiple entry and exit points for each floor or zone allowing monitoring of even complex garage layouts. The sensors are linked to the Master Zone Counter via our Dupline 3-wire bus. The built-in web-server makes it easy to monitor and adjust the zone count values simply by using the browser of your laptop or smart phone.

Counting can also be combined with space-by-space monitoring to form a hybrid system. This is common in parking garages that have roof-top parking and it isn’t economically feasible to put inductive ground loops at each parking space. Rather, the entry and exit points will have vehicle sensors that will count and subtract cars entering and exiting – even cars going the wrong way.

Parking Monitor

The GP34829091724 Carpark Monitor monitors the vehicle sensors and determines the number of free spaces. Numerous Car park Monitors can be networked together allowing sub-level (accessible parking or area), level, and facility space counts.

Each GP34829091724 also has built-in RS485 communication to interface to external displays.
